HR is ultimately an advocate for the company, their friends, and themselves — unfortunately, that often means they cannot always be trusted to prioritize employees’ well-being. I genuinely believe that many people enter the HR profession with the intention of helping others, but over time, they can become entangled in unethical practices. As their careers progress, they may find themselves too deep to speak out without risking their livlihood. Quitting isn’t always a realistic option when bills need to be paid and making a career change can be a challenge especially if you're older. I wish More HR professionals felt empowered enough to anonymously report unethical behavior when they see it and to oust the things they see coming before it hits the workers. There is enough outlets available to post this information either before, during, or after it happens. Big Corp cant fire every HR person or everyone that is/was aware of the unethical behavior, favoritism, layoffs etc Speak UP
