We want to do our jobs and take care of those who pay the bills. However we get told no! Now if it was fixing service for them of a VP, all hands on deck

Lumen is now in its struggle bus era,
the individual employees has got two choices, either jump out the emergency exit or get thrown underneath as management tries to gain traction!
@cq you layed out the plan. KJ and CS have been saying this for a year now, transport for the big boys AI data centers. Sell off or let die everything else.
@OP it’s the same thing in Des Moines, problem comes from the top down. Quantum represented the company’s commitment as RBOC to modernize its self and continue on as A public utility!
That’s not where the company is going now!
I see that lumen is now defaulting on and returning Grants from the Rural digital access funds! IMHO this will mean no more large federal government contacts will get renewed as they come up..Lumen was partially awarded those big dollar contracts by the feds based on merit, in other words so as to help the RBOC offset the cost and losses of providing services to the sparsely populated hinterlands! There are a lot of nationally strategic resources scattered across the lumen territory! From military assets to mineral resources to agriculture!
Lumen thinks that they can keep the lucrative contracts to serve those assets but dump the responsibility for the less lucrative individual residential and small business of the individual who make those resources viable!
Lumen has kind of taken a dump on the constituents of several elected officials who represent those underserved rural communities..
In other words Those congressional representatives in DC won’t be supporting lumen in its future competitive bids for federal funding or contracts!
When it’s all said and done lumen will run its Enterprise business into the ground just like it has with mass markets , and end up just providing data transport to Goggle, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft (who’s now being investigated by the pentagon for how it’s handled classified data! )
