Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Do we exactly know how many people are impacted in August?

Specifically in Sales as we're already prepared

Big cuts coming to C+AI. The AI SE's and AE investments not working out at all.

Don’t worry folks. As CP, the venerable CTO, EMEA, former destroyer of SEs in the U.K., keeps announcing every quarter, “Change is the only constant” . There, feel better now? Not? Dial 1-800-EATBS

I’m hoping to be at the top of that list. Either that or Cisco follows google, Starbucks etc and offers buyouts

Cisco is losing money by the ferry load.
The AI push is not paying off. Cricket, the internal AI tool, is an unmitigated disaster. not that it is bad, it is that it is being used large-scale by ignorants and pushing AI slop into every. single. thing. meetings, powerpoints, data sheets, sales briefs...
the already poor quality cisco sales content is now horribly, horribly worse.

AI, AI, AI, AI is creating a massive morale problem.
SEs are terrified that their expensive and hard won certifications are becoming worthless. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE are all collapsing in value in the job market. They are effectivly training their AI replecement to be network engineers. so sad.

Gartner Magic Quadrant keeps dropping cisco from the leaderboard, SASE, Wifi, next is Networking, Collab, etc.

so, yeah birds, the mid-august layoffs will be severe--- plan accordingly

10% at minimum possibly 15%

You can almost hear CR on the August press call with the narrative "We will refocus with laser-like efficiency on growth areas and restructure in others".
