I’m sure all of the 1,000’s of people that Vena has furloughed over the last 6 years would like a buy out too.

$200,000? LOL no railroader is getting a buyout. You just won't have a job. Entitled brat. Typical railroader putting a price on themselves. They don't care about you or your union. Everyone just needs to stop union dues.

For those saying “I’ll take the buyout”. Well, VJV said he won’t offer buyouts a few town halls back. Good luck gents, hold on tight it’ll be a bumpy ride!

If history repeats itself, it is gonna be a bloodbath stemming from the mid to upper management levels. SP managers were actually trying to railroad, UP managers were focused on setting up SP managers to fail so the UP managers could keep their jobs if not also get promoted over more competent SP managers. That is one of the main things that makes these mergers so operationally painful. The bad managers scrambling to look good by making others look bad. If a merger does happen, the NS managers better be ready for the knives in the back, sabotage, and lies that’ll be coming their way.

Man! I barely made it through the SP and UP merger and this all over again with both UP and Csx and NS?
Trump has got to be stupid to allow this happen. It will wreck the economy

It could be good if they let the Union Pacific management all go. All of them. Letting UP executives control twice as much makes no sense at all, especially considering how their performance compares to the other class one railroads.
