I guess the RTO mandate is an excuse for upper management to come to the office to cheat on their spouses.

Same. Hired 8 years ago remote. Never worked in the office. My team is all over the place. Boss lives in another country. Somehow I got tagged as flex even though I’ve never gone in. Commute would be 2+ hours. If it were closer and my team were there I wouldn’t mind going in at all. But this is ridiculous.
@jf ... the RTO bi--hing has already begun on my campus .... oh and community work tables are being ordered.
God I hope remoted complainers quit , I don't want to hear the b@tching about all the work they got done at home. But now the RTO is getting in the way of doing their jobs ...
It's great! I'm back in the office to hop on calls with my team in India. I also get to hang out with people who complains about their wives and DEI.
Hired on as remote, was actually one of the key things that attracted me to the job.
There is an office about an hour away. My team is not based there. Very few people I ever interact with are there. I would spend 2 hours commuting round trip so I can join teams calls.
Absolutely pointless. No thank you.
Was hired remote and dont have an office within 100 miles of my hired location. What do you think?
No. I’m willing to play the game for a bit. But I’ll be retiring sooner than I planned.
Yes, not relocating back to MN
I have a feeling that's their goal, hence the question.
