More good news to come before the end of the year I'm sure.

Just run a google search for Intel news and you'll see numbers adjusting and a future plan about OR that is hitting the wires today.

Now you could say... what a troll, etc.

But you seem to not be paying attention to the history, data, and prior reports that have played out recently.

Start looking for work in other place folks. Its not at the bottom yet.

Considering that the big Ronler exodus has all been notified, and the same is true for the other fab sites, there aren't many left to notify.

5000 may be close to the final number for this exercise and it sure appears that it was like pulling teeth to even get to that number.

Looks like the company will have to sell fabs and product groups to get headcount below 90k.

The company is still trying to do too many things, and the only way to slim the company down is to get more serious about reducing the scale of the conglomerate.

Selling the non-EUV fabs would help a lot, if there is a foundry buyer. Are NEX and Automotive the only product groups to be shut down? Maybe some others will be sold, but no word on that.

Outsourcing of all kinds is expected and some (smaller) groups got large enough reductions to expect outsourcing to be the next step, but that will take time and not really reduce overall headcount that much, at least until the fabs get serious about outsourcing.

There is this notion that the company can somehow magically get down to 75k or 40k or whatever and the reality is that can't happen until the company gets (a lot) more serious about deciding what to stop doing.

LBT has an A/R.
