Hey guys! I have been working for Verizon for a few years as a corporate sales rep. Things have gotten so bad with pay that many of us are leaving and unionizing. I was told by my upper leadership that you guys and att have also had your commission cut massively and are moving to group commission structure. Ours has become so little we are paycheck to paycheck and told if we don't like it, move on. I'm a top performer in my store and used to make a couple grand a month but once we switched to group commission we take home 5-600 a month commission after making above quota and after over 3 years are not at 20 per hour pay yet. Just wondering is this the case for you guys as well? Just trying to see if the grass is greener because it's getting almost impossible to live on our current pay. This used to not be the case until Hans Vestberg took over and ran our company into the ground. Some honest insight would be appreciated.

yes, T-Mobile has best leaders in the industry that take all the money from you.
Is the T-Mobile commission structure well designed?
All three companies are the same at this point. Just different brand colors. T mobile management does not care about you despite what was said by the person who is drinking the koolaid. The 2500 commission person must be stealing from the register cause that ain’t happening. The grass is greener in a different industry. If your young do something different than cell phones. There are no new customers to get. Do the math. Layoffs are the future for all the companies. Everything will be online soon. T mobile management is horrible. The stock is doing well because they know how to lie…. Remember, you can’t spell t Mobile without the word lie.
Half or more of sales positions are part time. No way you’re hitting some of these posted numbers outside of high volume or signature locations. Frontline is bleeding attrition, hence the recent pay bump. Unfortunately they’re not going to fix the problem with lean staffing because they want everyone starving for activations, so these issues will continue.
I would say that TMO will pay for your school. I would get a degree or certification. That will get you a better job than sales. Front line deserves respect but not paid enough.
Yes, I regularly make over $2,500 per month in commissions.
Is there opportunity to make over 1k a month in commission?
We have the opposite at T-Mobile to what Verizon has. We just got an hourly increase, spiffs have been great since this past summer, and we made bank with Sprint upgrades/migrations. We have a team bonus that only serves as an individual earnings accelerator, but it’s designed to never go below 100%. The company is not perfect, but nothing is. However, T-Mobile is so much better than Verizon or AT&T. Leaders here care and try to do the right thing. Thankfully, there’s been a big purge recently of former Sprint leaders who were ruining the company. The bad ones are gone. The good ones are still here.
