@OP This is happening way too frequently with no transparency, no impacted teams input, and a lack of vision from the Executive Team. It's time for all of us to look at unionizing. https://www.seiu.org/

@b4 Keep calm, take the high-road, and don't accept their first or second severance offer.

@b0 they will, but don't accept the first offer that they make and sign a release. T a number of people commented the last time this happened that they did better after threatening to sue. There seems to be a pattern too of targeting older workers, so even if you accept the severance and sign a release you can still file a complaint with the EEOC.

Will they be offering severance packages this time?

@ax which department/type of roll. Last time this happened it was impossible to figure out who was impacted until you saw that their teams accounts were deactivated. Out Leadership teams and Coworker Services SU-K at handing these issues.

@af at one point there was a plan, albeit covert, to spin amplified for education office is separate entity. That seems to have faded, but it is like a fish out of water with its and DV failing to integrate it into their initiatives and it is falling victim to cdw's legacy mentality of how many boxes can we ship out the door at the expense of innovation and new services.

@as Do we know how many people have been impacted?
This is such amateur hour. Buyouts and voluntary separation could accomplish the exact same thing without creating this terrible organizational precedent. We are now experiencing a brain drain because our best and brightest are leaving because of this ridiculousness.

How does a company invest millions on an Olympics sponsorship (that won’t happen for 3 years) and do a large layoff a few weeks later?

Tone deaf doesn’t come close to accurately describing it. Someone needs to get fired for that.

Email at 5am said CWS emails would immediately follow. So anyone that is going to get an invite should have one.
