I don't know. There's probably someone out there that wants to believe you. But year after year saying that quality is job #1, then having it obviously not be. How about the next slogan to boost quality: "How about we su-k less?"

@es I watched that B.S. video with Doug and Kumar. If you believe that spin than I have some beachfront property in Nevada to sell you.

For the 3rd time. Mind blown.

I remember Jim Hacket' big push to move lab testing to CAE and virtually eliminate building prototype vehicles for testing. This works great for furniture but not so much for passenger vehicles.

Just another example of the damage that happens several years after bad decisions are made by the person (s) running the organization leaves.

Ford’s tears are like honey to me.

I don’t think this is due to carrying for the customers, as presented, but due to NHTSA watchdog and less ability to hide the problems

A couple of weeks ago I would have agreed with you on the one thing. But now I dont. The 'second' thing is now the power trip they seek.....via the badge swipe ridiculousness.

Our PD costs are directly related to the fact we spend 80% of engineering time navigating the outright brainless processes we have to deliver a component or system to a vehicle program.
The icing on the cake is the internal tools we use are garbage.
I am done at the end of 2025.

The sycophantic leadership at Ford only cares about one thing: cost and sales.

Why? Because that's what drives their paychecks and fat bonuses. Cutting costs looks great on paper, at least in the short term and they get rewarded fast. But those cuts come at a steep price, quality takes a nosedive, and the long-term damage is catastrophic.

It's a fake solution dressed up as smart strategy, but all it really does is pad executive bonuses while setting the company up for failure. And when the tidal wave of quality issues inevitably hits, guess what? They point fingers everywhere but the mirror.

Don't worry, the guys in Long Beach have the experience needed to make a defect free vehicle.

With all the id--tic they are making today I can't wait to see what this number will look like in 2-3 years :)
