Instead of hiring someone, I was rewarded with another job on top of my assigned current job, no pay raise either. Management’s excuse—I can handle it and will look good for the lean program. My theory—I never have and will not ever drink the kool aid…Gotta love the politics that does not happen at Exxon.

Happened to me last year. Peer jumped to another position and my manager asked me to fill in for peer temporarily. Temporarily turned into permanent. About 4 months later, another peer went to new assignment and team divided up her work. I took on her biggest project.
Assessment feedback completely ignored the increased workload and turned the wider scope of my job into missed opportunities (basically what my peers missed). I went down in assessment.
