That's BD for you. If your IQ is over 90, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company. The people here will drag you down to their level and outdo you with their ignorance.

Can confirm. Had a manager that got promoted to operations supervisor despite knowing nothing about the lines she managed (ex. The time it took to assemble something. Either way, the time sheets were made up on the spot.), but she micromanaged everyone, treated them like middleschoolers, held grudges, lashed out at people when stressed, and accused people of working too slow without any evidence. Genuinely, I asked around one day and found out nobody liked her except for the one friend of her mom that she personally hired. I think she also masks her autism so hard (I found out her special interest by accident and she gushed waaay too hard about it), it loops back around to corporate sociopathy. Naturally, she's now the plant director and is basically even more of a corporate shill. Her LinkedIn is also filled with corporate buzzwords about management and Six Sigma.
I should've heeded the red flag when she was 45 minutes late to my interview. Regardless, sometimes I wonder if she has identity crisises and cries herself to sleep every night from all the stress and masking. No sympathy here, she contributed to my PTSD.

This is true, BD has lots of non-qualified folks in leadership positions. Due to their own insecurity, they hire/promote only incompetent folks.
100%! I got a new manager that was a promotional hire with no prior management experience and she is the worst. Pretends to know everything and making many changes to our team but when you begin to listen to what she wants to do she has no idea how things work or what she is doing….
@g5 that’s exactly how BD works. BD should not allow its so called “leaders” to attend external conferences. It brings lot of shame to the company.
