It’s not SVP approval. One level up from there. COC member. Chances of them approving are very very low unless there is an all star external they want to hire.
Interesting what will happen with current approved distant remotes. Will they be stuck in their job forever-blocking others from moving up
Ask your manager to approve you as distant remote. The request will go all the way upto SVP approval. If they approve then you'll have 1 or 2 year to relocate beacuse that's their next step of getting people to quit. After you relocate your job probably going to replace by AI. Welcome to cooperate America!
