Digital Product is the most inefficient division. The people there are technically inept and depend on outside vendors for even the most basic technical knowledge. All they do is get in the way of business getting its work done.
Hope they reimagine Digital Product and bring in basic accountability.

DPM is the worst. Of late, I have seen DPM folks act like they care about business needs and faking collaboration. They know they are in the spotlight with Enterprise Reimagine and are just trying to fool the firm. After September, they will be back to their old ways.
A message to those running ER - take a critical look at DPM and make some major changes if you want to drive agility and speed to market. DPM is the biggest hurdle today.
I expect DPM folks to come in herds and downvote this post….. understandable as it would be their survival instinct.
Just wait until they realize how much fat they can cut from all the DPM teams. It's coming sooner than you think. Watch all those egos squirm then. Shocker - You don't get to do your own thing anymore.
I agree with OP on this. The issue is not just at GP level. The rot has spread further down to the Digital Portfolio owners and Product Owners. Every simple request from business is made to sound like a big technical deal. I suspect DPM leaders are trained to sandbag estimates so they can appear to “always deliver on time”. In previous jobs, I have partnered with digital/tech teams in other companies and can tell you that EJ Digital Product team is the least agile I have seen.
Unfortunately we've had poor leadership within DPM for a while. We take best in class software like MG and SF with industry best practices built in, and spend 10s of millions of dollars customizing them to fit Jones's sh!tty processes. That has always been the direction. Those customizations will cost the firm 100s of millions over the next several decades to support. Surprise, that's how SW comapnies make money! Time to bring in experts from Silicon Valley that know what they are doing. No need to pay top $ for GPs wearing fancy suits, give me some pi-ply 25 year olds in t-shirts that know how tech is supposed to work.
There’s talent in Digital Products. Some bad eggs too, but don’t we all have some bad eggs?
You can tell partners monitor this site, don't call out your fellow worker bees. The real problem is GPs building little fiefdoms to look and feel important rather than delivering results.
Your complaint is valid but it distracts from the fact that partners literally earn millions of dollars as they build and lead misaligned and poor performing teams.
This is a failure of leadership. Don't fall for the chat gpt authored talking points.
what does digital product do?
They have been reimagining for a while now. If you think it is bad now, just wait. The outside “help” is worse than onsite associates they are replacing. I see the decline. Every. Single. Day. It’s shockingly ugly.
