Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford has hired over 40,000 new employees since 2023

Yes, that’s correct. If I take the 177,000 employees we had in 2023, subtract the 46,000 layoffs that have been announced on this website, they must have hired 40,000 to get back to 171,000 current employees.

It’s not all bad news folks

Common strategy to save on the 401K vesting period , 40,000 people x ~$10,000 from each This is hefty reward of $300-400 millions + stock price is up to sell common shares higher another $300 -400 mill. Total gains is half a billion $$$ !!!

Yes but that includes blue collar workers. The plants have very high turnover. As the boomers and Xers retire, the millennials and Zers do not want to work.

So is guess that all those hires, most are blue collar that didn't hack it. And then there is a huge chunk in India, China, Mexico, and South America.

The salaried NA population had been shrinking quickly and continues to.
