All the best high tech talent and leadership comes from California. Like it or not this is true fact.
How's life out here? Unreasonably expensive. In the process of moving to a close by but much cheaper state.
It’s fine. Yes, it’s expensive. It’s not the hellscape the media portrays it to be. But go ahead and think otherwise if that makes you happy.

Keep in mind that 120K salary in Michigan ( ~Level 7 Ford) = 180-193k salary in California ( Stuff / Senior Stuff/ Senior)
I always question myself why would one go to California. The rich sit on the expensive land and houses are over 1.2 million $ there.
Its worth it if you live in a van in California and come back after 1-2 years to other states like Michigan.
all jobs are going there , its awesome place to go now.
