Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Prelude to the one

Soft layoffs and retirements. Where there is smoke there is a layoff, right? Sure feels that way. I imagine they can do some more after mid year reviews. If not, they will use that talent assessment they put on the cascade for objectives.

There is a lot of moving parts here and a lot of evidence it’s coming.

Maybe, there are a lot of folks saying no. I tend to fall somewhere in the middle. There is a lot of work to get done, and operations are not something that can be disrupted without damaging quality. So it’s hard to know. My best guess is there will be some, but not likely as big as SRD.

Undoubtedly it’s happening this year. I sense it because there is a lot of negativity around the current structure, lots of blame to go around, Doug Field is likely still being trusted to give his insights until Jim is retired. The storm is still swirling up and it’s a perfect one for layoffs.

Add in the other orgs looking to cash in on bonuses for the top, and yes you will have more cuts.
