That is just horrible mgmt from the top down. LYA just finished a 2 year expansion, purchasing millions (maybe billion$) on new tools and staffing to automate. 2 years, all that money is gone

Actually def met has just had a budget increase green lit. They will be buying more tools and hiring more top of the line engineers. No personnel laid off. It's christmas in July for def met!

Both areas will go the way of ROC in due time.

They also got built up in the race to 18A, so have been getting reduced back to regular staffing.

Not only AI but robotics seem a great fit for both groups.

If you saw what they actually do, you'd think this was 1980 or something.

We just had the layoffs, the reductions in yield come later, as we struggle to fill in for the missing heads
