"This site is a FORUM for an in depth discussion on a specific topic, not social media."

lol thus d-mbest thing I ever read on here. Little dose of reality It's a internet message board comprised of trolls

Not only does someone need to bone up on their communication skills they obviously need some help with reading comprehension. The guy don't say he hated emojis or acronyms he said when used by adults its an indication of poor communication skills.

This site is a FORUM for an in depth discussion on a specific topic, not social media. Key word DISCUSSION. COMMUNICATION. If you can't communicate without pictures and 5th grade acronyms you have bigger issues than what is going on at CCI.

Not getting the difference between social discussion among family and friends and public or professional conversation - another example of the d-mbing down of America to a T.

I understand how the use of acronyms and emojis is inappropriate in a professional setting, but this website is not a professional setting and the use of emojis or acronyms is completely appropriate.

"LMAO" is perfectly acceptable in casual conversations, text messages, and online interactions on social media platforms.

I’ve also received “LMAO, LOL, HAHA, and emojis” as texts through my MS Teams work account from coworkers who are 60+ years old.

Whoever is saying “the use of LMAO is a sign of the d-mbing down of America” is most likely a disgruntled ITT or DeVry graduate who is offended because someone here is anonymously outing the fact their Alma mater is a scam. It’s your fault you got scammed and enrolled at one of these schools. Cry about it.

As someone who has managed dozens of successful departments and thousands of employees, let me tell you, if your communication skills are so poor that you need emojis, 5th grade acronyms or, ugh, you use exclamation points more than a handful of times a year, at most, you are going nowhere. You're annoying to 90% of your audience and your peers are laughing at you not with you.

When the acronym is "lmao" yes its ridiculous for an adult. RIDICULOUS if you want to be taken seriously. VFW is an appropriate acronym, AA is an appropriate acronym. Acronyms used to express an opinion or feelings like a twelve year old, used by an adult, are entirely representative of the d-mbing down of America. Learn how to communicate past a sixth grade level. Get an education.

I understand the emojis part, but is using acronyms considered d-mb now? You’re d-mb for making this statement.

What is really d-mb is being d-mb enough to enroll at ITT or Devry! LMAO!

It seem ironic that someone that works at the same company as another person is sh-----g on their for-profit education. You d-mb cuck, you work at the same company, so what does it say about your education? You have been snorting the purple powder if you think anyone at Crown uses any type of education to run the clown show.

Adding on. Not only would I not want him on my team or to be around him for any reason. I definitely wouldn't want him around my kids or family. Ridiculing people for trying to better themselves and prospects for families. I'd fire him too. Trash.

Grammer police on a message board, please. An education is only worth what you put into it regardless of the school or its accreditation. We are a over creditalized society. You don't need a business degree to lead people or run a bussiness in matter fact some of the most successful people are college drop outs.

@pf

They obviously attended some form of educational institution. Given your grammar, I'd suspect you don't hold a degree.

Regarding for-profit universities, it's important not to lump them all together. While many faced investigations for predatory admissions practices and certainly engaged in questionable tactics to enroll students, the value of the education itself should be assessed by their accreditation and the caliber of their instructors.

Most of the unqualified students who were admitted dropped out before obtaining their degrees. The institutions didn't need them to complete their programs to receive funding; they merely needed them to remain enrolled long enough each semester to secure financial aid after the drop/add period concluded.

If you hold disrespect for people who work and put the time, effort and money into bettering themselves in anyway or any place i guess that's your prerogative. But you really should keep it to yourself. You sound like a petty a**hole. I wouldn't want you on my team or to be around you for any reason. I'd fire you in a heartbeat.

Schools like ITT Tech on a manager’s resume indicates a tendency to fall for scams. Don’t hire these folks.

The only people mad at the fact that ITT/Devry are inferior scam schools are those that have these schools on their resume.

It’s definitely a red flag whenever I see ITT Technical on a resume.

It’s funny how we have adults who believe Devry University is not a scam.

100% of for-profit colleges in America are scams.

@hr You are incorrect. All reputable universities or colleges in the US are non-profits.

A quick search on Google will tell you the difference between non-profit and for-profit schools.

Schools like ITT tech, Devry, Ashford are all for-profit scams:
“The term "ITT scam" most likely refers to the allegations and eventual closure of ITT Technical Institute (ITT Tech), a for-profit college chain. The institution was accused of deceptive recruitment practices and financial misconduct, leading to government investigations and ultimately, its collapse.”

@av+1jznk17xn Are most if not all universities for profit? Don't think any of them are doing it out the kindness of their heart. They are a business just like any other. I don't know, I went to one of the establishments on your list maybe? Maybe not, IDK? I try and not deal in absolutes :)

They're right, towers are cash cows. They need to spend the next three years selling and right sizing the workforce in shared services. They have 3 -4 x more staff than they need to support the towers and it drains cash that should be used to unlever the balance sheet. It's a rental company, it's not rocket science. They need mgrs and directors w business experience to do that. Not people in their positions due to nepotism or attrition.

Most of the management at CC su-ks because the only qualifications they have are from the for-profit college system.

Schools like ITT Tech, Devry, Univ of Phoenix, and Ashford are all scams that offer low quality education, and hiring managers should be embarrassed to hire anyone from one of these for-profits.
