Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Is it me?

Is it me or have tenured associates failed due to lack of leadership?

Many tenured associates developed a special skillet that enabled the firm to operate and be successful in the old model. Often times this included managing egos and mitigating fallout of bad decisions and poor leadership. Unfortunately this is very hyper-fit to EJ and as a result many didn't develop the skills they needed to be successful outside of that model.
The consultants noticed this and the new leadership decided that it was better to throw these people away rather than work on aligning their skills to the future.
So a long way of saying that firm leadership on many levels has failed these associates.
