This is true lmao, I have seen this from employees who have been here for 30yrs. Just be mediocre where you don't get unwanted attention.

My secret talent/skill set is no secret at all. I am an EXPERT at PowerPoint! That’s not something that can be hidden. As soon as I start my slide deck my audience gasps and claps because they are in total AWE! And when the presentation is finished, they give a standing ovation while screaming ENCORE ENCORE!

PowerPoint is the ONLY skill you need at Intel. So learn it, master it, and you will go far!

I've seen better Question Trolling.

I'm skilled at letting my con artist coworkers incriminate themselves and falling on their own sword.

Skilled at doing the bare minimum work and still get a decent raise.

Secret talent not doing much but still getting paid like everyone else.

Don’t be an a--hole.

The bottom line is there isn't any skill you can have that will protect you anymore. About the best you can do is be sure you're as close to the silicon as possible with your job. Even that won't help everyone. But if you're in a job that can be outsourced or replaced by AI/automation, you're either going to get hit this time or the next. Intel is only paying you because they haven't figured out how to do the job without you...yet.

Have skills that are in demand.

In my experience, at Intel the best way to avoid layoffs is to be close to someone at the VP level. If you su-k up enough, and do enough grunt work for them to like you and see you as a nice pet to have, you'll be safe. Or at least safer.

There is no secret. It's a game of roulette. You just hope the best and prepare for the worst.

I don't know if I have a secret talent, but work, work efficiently, and network with other people seem to keep me out of the chopping block.

Though I have seen a-s kisser yield same results.
