  • At Intel: 3 out of every 4 engineering roles no longer exist
  • At Microsoft: 7 out of 10 managers have been scrubbed from the org

agree, its the economy stupid. Where have we heard that before? I'm glad I have only 4 more years in the workforce, but I am keeping my skills active. And branching out into other things...just wrote a book!!

They are hoping that robots will buy their products in the future. We are also in recession - Ai is slow process and it is not the current reason of lay offs. The real reason is the ECONOMY. The Brainwash media did the work with Ai.

Flinging around figures like “3 in 4 engineering roles” at Intel or “9 in 10 senior staff” at Ford is clickbait masquerading as analysis.
Intel is primarily slicing middle management, not gutting engineering labs.
For Ford there is no reputable source backs a 90% decimation of senior roles. Microsoft is trimming underperforming managers, but it’s mostly routine restructuring.
It’s cost management, not some sinister plot. These companies are instead pouring resources into AI, chips, and cloud.
