Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

HP is a joke of a company

And anyone who works or has ever worked there as a CW is even more of a joke. Who’s with me?

Being a CW for over 9 years without leveraging that experience to secure a permanent position is a joke.

I am a CW and worked at HP for 9 years now. Once in 2005-2007 and 2018-present. I love working here. I get paid very well compared to other companies in my area. In fact I am getting 3X the pay rate of my last job which ended in 2018. That last job got rid of me for being too old. There are a lot of smaller companies that treat employees like s*** and I can say from my perspective that HP is not like them at all.

I am NOT a JOKE

  1. Nothing was ever mentioned about someone trying to be bold. 2. Nobody except you said anything about HP having some rough patches, collapsing, or needing to restructure to stay viable. 3. Only contract workers were dismissed. Stop putting words in this person’s mouth. If anything, your weak intellectually bankrupt response just proves their point!

Wow, calling HP a "joke" and trashing everyone who's worked there as CW-level losers is not bold, it's just lazy trolling. Sure, HP's had rough patches. But HP isn’t collapsing. It’s restructuring to stay viable, shifting factories out of China and investing in AI-capable PCs. Dismissing every employee as a joke is intellectually bankrupt. If anything, that line of thinking says more about your weak take than about the company.
