Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How is everyone doing?

Those who have been through many of Intel's layoffs, how do you deal with the stress and anxiety? Just a few more days I along with many people will know their fate at Intel
Yikes!

The vast majority of people survived past layoffs and will this time too. The problem with this time around is that entire teams will get let go including top performers. It is hard to predict this cycle's outcomes. The only thing for sure is that there will be more layoffs and the bottom tier performers will get let go every cycle from now on. Working at Intel has s-cked but the future will be worse. Competition to keep your job will bring out the worst in a lot of people.

Depends on what side you're looking at it from. I spent the last 8 years applying for them only to get turned down each time. 😭
It's the holy grail here to grab the big cheque here in Ireland

@ad yes Monday is the day the vast majority of RA will get notifications. If you’re a compressed work weeker on backend days/nights you will receive yours on Thursday.

If you’re impacted you will have a 1 on 1 with your manager set up. At least that’s how my management is doing it.

I already learned my fate, and I have to say it's a huge relief. I'm being laid off, and I'm glad to have all the stress & worry of the constant threat of it gone. For those of you who do get laid off, remember there IS life after Intel. It will likely be a better life, too. It may seem like the end of the world when it happens, but it's just the beginning of a new chapter.

I'll be checking daily to see the statuses of my enemies at work to see if they got laid off or not. If so, it will be a happy first time that the right group of people were laid off in my entire life. If not, it will be a sad week even if I keep my job.

Nothing really you can do right now. You may not be laid off so just relax and do something fun.

Why stress now, if are going to get laid off, worry about it when it actually happens.

For those that survive this layoff, have a back up plan for the next round of layoffs that is sure to happen in the future.
