Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

When did offshoring/layoffs start?

At the beginning of 2024? Earlier than that?

The fist sign was when we outsourced our computer processing…Many don’t even realize today that our computing resources haven’t been EJ resources for years. Chris Bodges was one of the first casualties. Yes, I know he was having health issues but to me that was the beginning.

I was given notice in sept 2023, in 2 weeks was training. I trained my overseas replacements from sept to december. Leadership tried to keep it hush hush from other areas and downplay it because we were one of the first teams in operations to be non contractor associates training our replacement with layoffs pending if we didnt find a job. It su-ked and was a horrible experience on so many levels. Now, I might have to do it again in October. Best company to work for though, right??
