“You get in, you don’t have to pair your phone. Automatically, your whole digital life is mirrored in the car,”
And all your data is sent to Xi Jinping. Come on! Does this id--t know about the Chinese Social Credit System?
"Seventy percent of all EVs in the world, electric vehicles, are made in China"
And they have large "graveyards" where they park brand new BEVs to rust, since they are built to take in the government credit.
"The CEO blamed the company’s lack of EV presence on tech giants, like Google and Apple, because they “decided not to go into the car business,”
Funny he said that. Do you know who else is no longer in the car business? Ford. They got rid of Focus, Fiesta, Taurus (a nice car, BTW). Ford only sells performance cars, SUVs, and trucks. And even the SUVs are dwindling. Soon, Ford will be a "truck" company with a BEV dream.
“We are in a global competition with China, and it’s not just EVs. And if we lose this, we do not have a future Ford,”
Actually, Ford is in a competition against the whole world. And not only in EVs. However, I am sure that Ford would have a future, if the company gets rid of Farley, Bill, and all the executives, while axing the Model E.
“I don’t like talking about the competition so much, but I drive the Xiaomi,”
And that's a big red flag issue. If the CEO of Ford doesn't drive a Ford, why expect customers will? That's just BAD marketing. It would be unthinkable that a marketing guy like Farley doesn't realize the damage is doing by saying and acting like that, until you realize that the company has been losing market share since he was hired. So... is he stoopid or what?
