Lots of tech roles are being cut. Might even be a majority of the cuts. I see lots of engineering teams with 30% cuts or higher
These are not Technicans. Lol
This is less than 50 people. This represent less than .05% of the existing employees. Who cares? This is probably far less than the normal attrition rate.
Even in the tech roles, there is a lot of dead weight. People stuck doing the same thing for the last 15 years with little flexibility to modify. I have seen some very talented managers and architects leave ahead of this layoff, that is the more concerning part than the layoffs themselves. I don't see how we can compete when we bleed critical talent.
