Analysts expect cost-cutting to escalate once the private equity firm’s $10 billion purchase of Walgreens is completed before the end of this calendar year. One of the first major hurdles is a vote of shareholders at a special meeting on July 11.

I hope the layoffs and reorganizations happen quickly. It hard to work when they are dragged out over months or years. It will be "fun" when they say to the people (or you) "Through no fault of your own, we had to make the tough decision to let you go."

They are watching the cameras. If the customer has digital receipt the coupons come out after the customer and they are watching to see that you tear up the coupons. People are being fired over it. I've thought for several years that Walgreens didn't have the money so stopped allowing us to order and since we didn't have what people wanted they took their business elsewhere. Fed Ex and reloading cards hasn't added to sales. They drop off/pick up pkgs. and leave. They refill cards and leave. We waste our time doing those things while paying customers stand in line. No hrs. for employees. Some photo customers only show up for freebies. Most have several different accounts. Corp is a joke.
