Between the cuts, AI, potential spinoffs, offshoring, and outsourcing, it feels like soon there'll be no one left but the C-suite, and a handful of people kept around as props.

A lot of BB roles will become more technical oversight of contract workers. Defining the work the contractors need to do and then reviewing the completed work that they submit.
@a3 Agree, outsourcing non core - (HR,IT,etc...) was done by most big companies in the valley decades ago.
outsource. lay off few while doing so. pay new outsourced labor less money. layoff more of the new outsource staff in 6 months after consolidation and knowledge transfer with little to no severance. standard playbook. many outsource companies more efficient and productive than Intel employees. Intel and shareholders win.
non-core and core functions outsourced. Including engineering.
Yes for the 450th time, anything that can be outsourced will be. Even cuts into 2026 are on the table if needed. Nothing is guaranteed.
No benefits needed for outsourcing parts of the businesses. No need to layoff more people, just restructure a contract with the outsourcing company. This gives Intel much needed flexibility to protect themselves from the ongoing storms that they face.
D-mbest bottom dwellers are left might as well look elsewhere
What a debacle!
@a1 Don't try to turn this into a "capitalism is evil" argument. It would be accurate to say "welcome to the results of decades of poor leadership." Capitalism is not the cause of this.
This is the Cadence playbook one idea Asian
Pretty standard for noncore functions. Many functions are so far behind that outsourced companies are ahead us even in core functions. Our rich and glorious past is now over.
I think most of HR will be outsourced
Welcome to late stage capitalism.
