Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Speed up the demise! Go Progressive!

Please Please help me spread the word! Cancel your policies with SF especially if you are an employee! Do not do business with a company like State Farm. I cannot believe anyone, of any sense, that works for SF would buy any of their products. Do you really want to keep buying SF Agents and Executives bigger lakes houses, Porsche's, and multimillion dollar bonuses and generation wealth for their kids? All at your expense! Remember do hard better is for you, not them. Accountability is for you, not them. Lean and expense/staffing reductions are for you and not their paycheck, just yours! Cancel your policies, NOW!!!! Tell your friends and family what kind of sh-t hole this place is an how they treat not only their employees but policyholders. Have them cancel too! Do you really want someone in Express handling your claim? Do you really think the agent deserves 8%-15% of your premium every time your policy renews! Move all of your business over to Progressive or Geico. Take the savings and invest so you can retire earlier, plus hey have better prices and service! Whatever you do, do not do business with Snake Farm! Come on people!

Yes but we need policy counts to shrink dramatically, agents to start loosing commissions, start buying people out/severance and all the bean counting process engineers to be run out the door. I want to see Baby Huey -JF explain this one away with the two agents standing beside him talking about how agent's are the end all be all! Just need victory dance!

It already occurred at end of Q2. No one will care except a handful of execs on 12. Nothing changes, life and business goes,on.

State Farm is basically a pyramid scheme! I agree with the OP, take all your business somewhere else! Save the money! Eventually it will force Execs hand and decimate their bonuses! They will not staff claims appropriately to service our customers and keep raising rates and paying for agents that no one wants or needs. 70% of customers will never file a claim, ever, and most insured's have no interaction with their agent once the policy is written. Everything you need to know about insurance is a click away on the internet. Give the customer a choice of a 10%-15% rate reduction with no agent and they will choose the no agent every time! State Farm will be #2 officially in about 6 months and then Geico will pass them too. This company has absolutely no clue what they are doing, Express, Complex, Total loss, Fire Claims and anything claims are all dumpster fires and getting worse and worse with their useless "woke" 2040 workforce!

It’s obviously time for OP to get the he-l out. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

A scenario of a future board meeting around why SF has not been able to compete with Progressive

I have been checking the Progressive website every few days to see when they being their 12k hiring binge. So far just a few hundred postings, mostly for attorneys and claim rep jobs scattered around the country. Don't update your resume too soon, you don't want to tout how you support Price and Ease if we move on to whatever great plan is going to save the company next.

I am a 37 yr employee and for almost 30 of those we had many SF products. Even our mortgage when SF bank was around. I cancelled everything except a 15 pay life policy, I think 6 policies total, because SF raised our rates every year even though we filed one auto claim that wasn't our fault in all that time. We saved $1600 with Progressive and we got better coverage. This organization has gone from a source of pride to me and my family to an absolute embarrassment I refuse to work for any longer. If you have a reasonable alternative I implore you to give it strong consideration. This once great company died when Ed Rust left.

I cancelled all my policies with SF about two years. Best decision I have ever made. Between Home and Auto, I have saved almost $3000 a year! Plus I do not have to mess with an agent, can do everything on-line immediately, and much better service when needed. After MT got a $22 and $24 million bonus and led the company to a $27 billion dollar loss, I bolted and said never again! I will take the paycheck as long as they give it to me! I was with my agent for 15 years and never had a call from them once! SF is useless!
