My baby boomer manager still prints emails and complains about "kids these days," while rejecting any process improvement that involves technology newer than 2010. The irony is that his entire job could be automated with basic scripting, but good luck suggesting that.

OP is obviously someone that hasn't been in the workforce long, that doesn't understand the sheer heroics and workhorses needed to bring about such change. It's almost painfully cute how idealistic and innocent they are.
@OP Disappointing read. This kind of unoriginal thinking (Selective Inclusivity that includes Exclusivity) has brought PepsiCo so far from the greatness it once enjoyed while those baby-boomers and earlier generations were steering the ship with mind and business acumen.
It may be surprising to you to know baby boomers are also trying to bring change, using the latest technology. It’s a challenging, frustrating, and slow process, regardless of a person’s age.
Most young people in my department do not have the knowledge, experience and skills yet to make the needed changes, and some feel they are better off working side hustles on PepTime because they can STILL be quickly PROMOTED based on their age and schmooze factor.
Young people don't want to work at PEP. I remember when I was in Plano hardly any interns accepted offers for permanent employment. The few that did all left within 2 years for better and more challenging career opportunities which PEP failed to provide.
Probably someone who is protected by a SVP.
