For those that have been at Intel for awhile, what are memories that stood out?

I remember when AMD was out with 64-bit CPUs, the arrogance displayed by a sales guy who said "PCs don't need 64 bits".
I remember the arrogance PSO demonstrated, when asked about the future of Itanium, replying "Intel has never lost an Architecture battle".
Best phase of Intel was when Intel launched Centrino which flipped the PC market with Laptop sales zooming past Desktop sales.
I remember back around 1995 or so, there was this guy at Chandler A4/T11/F6 that had a big old beat-up white car, a huge sedan, and he had a briefcase and a coffee cup glued to the roof of the car! This guy was a real character; he wore a fedora all the time before wearing a fedora was a thing. He kept the car's registration and insurance card in the briefcase, and he would lend that car to anybody . . . all you had to do was ask! One day at lunch, me and five of my pals borrowed that car. The floorboards were half rusted out - you could see the pavement beneath your feet. It was hilarious driving around Chandler in that boat. People were honking and yelling at us to let us know we forgot our briefcase and coffee cup! Those were the days!
Sitting in the toilet for 2 hours and no one noticed that.
it was really nice that so many of our meetings could be catered. there were so many catering carts in the hallways that you could walk around and get whatever leftover lunches and drinks you wanted. also 16 days of ECBP plus EB made it seem like monopoly money in Q1 every year.
@a4 I tell people about that $1k surprise and they don't believe me. It's hard to understand I guess when the current state of the company is their reference. I'll never forget when they did the building wide announcement of the $1k bonus and then the cheers. I really felt appreciated and like I was a part of something special. Wow, that's LONG gone.
From F20 S4 days: going to Dr Feelgoods on Wednesday morning and a good portion of the techs and OMs were there.

The Intel 25 year anniversary was a huge party, the energy when RNB was new, the stock doubling every 18-24 months, a Mercedes in cash as a Gd7 kid, the shuttle was cool, seeing Moore and Grove (in a room with others) was special, Gd8's were maxing social security wage contributions by end of Feb from big annual EB, Gd8's getting 4,000 stock options each spring, working for a cool company...
