I find AI fascinating in its ability to put everything you ask for directly at your fingertips given the right prompt. But as an engineer I never take new information for granted. I ask questions and challenge anything that goes against my intuition. If you're using it to learn and you do this, you won't have a problem. But if you're using it to do the work for you and treat its output as gospel, then yeah, you're not just outsourcing your tasks but your ability to problem solve and reason on your own.
