It just proves how clueless are the Intel managements. Completely lose of track, this is why they out-source.

Gemini say,

Accenture's AI agents, part of the AI Refinery platform, are designed to enhance business processes, enable multi-system collaboration, and empower organizations to rapidly build and customize AI solutions tailored to their specific needs.

MIT finds kids that use AI to write papers suffer cognative decline. Take the smart phones and AI agents away from your young children, this is a serious warning.

Unfortunately a lot of times with a big outsource they keep Sr VPs and cut the low level rank and file. We'll see.

SMG has way too many overpaid VP’s and directors who if you placed in on the real world would not be able to function let alone stay afloat. So much fat, so much waste, I think they should get even more aggressive than just Accenture

No marketing people?, my gosh how will the PC OEMs get by without 30 Intel people in every customer meeting?...

who will answer there questions?... oh wait, all the customer needs to do is ask Chat GPT and they get accurate response without the PowerPoint propaganda.

That sounds really encouraging... 'Honey, I got waxed today... who will do my old job? Apparently a wicked smart large language model that won't require any coffee or bananas... and AI doesn't bi--h about RTO either...'

There are many other departments that can be outsourced. Legal could easily outsource 75 % to ai. Intel isn't a software company but to the extent there is any left after the blood letting, you can outsourcing 50% of those heads to Anthropic AI. It is really really good at writing code.

LBT will first to quick spans and levels cut then that should be followed by more cuts to re-engineer this company and AI will be able to get rid of tons of bloat.

@a1 ... a lot of those people might still be able to do their same jobs remotely in the future they just won't be Intel employee they will be working for one of the companies Intel hires. Their wages might even be higher but the benefits will probably be far less.

"The company said it believes Accenture, using artificial intelligence, will do a better job connecting with customers. It says it will tell most marketing employees by July 11 whether it plans to lay them off."
