There’s this weird obsession at EJ with controlling every move. I’ve worked under managers who genuinely help, but more often than not it feels like you’re being watched instead of supported. If there’s trust in the hiring process, why not trust people to do their jobs?

We don’t have leaders that are worth the title of leadership. Just because they are in a level does not mean they were developed the right way or have the skill set or mindset to be one.
OP are you doing your job well? From some experience, the complaining about micromanagement can be a sign that someone isn't open to feedback and coaching when it's offered.
@OP too many layers of leadership whose roles are more about title than function. Because they don’t have a function they focus on the only thing they can do; micromanage every task and invent reasons they have to sign off on everything.
