If each intel employee comes up with $1M, 100k intel employees raise $100B to take it private. Everyone works hard as it is their own company and double stock price in 2-3 years. Much better return.

GF or one of the other foundries is bound to end up with the older fabs, as they will not be used for either internal or external customers down the road and are currently operating at a high WSPW, which makes the transaction more valuable.

Intel sells the fabs then does a contract for the wafers.

The older fabs are also not big enough to be competitive and would cost a lot to convert to EUV, in most cases requiring a new mod to house litho.

On the product side, just read the rumors of the past 6 months. Most of the interest is in groups that Intel so far does not want to sell, but companies like Broadcom would pick up some of what the Board is willing to sell.

But of course OP is merely trolling so wasn't seeking a serious answer.

US Federal Government - the pendulum swings back to the left, Dems go further socialist, and bankruptcy leads to this - AOC is the new CEO.

Sorry to interrupt your trolling, but any buyout of even parts of the company (e.g. older fabs, assorted product groups) would be at various premiums to the current stock price, so that would suggest you already should know what stock to be holding.

Intel will be sold for the value of its real estate. Everything within its buildings will go for pennies on the dollar.
I'd be willing to buy one of their digital scopes.

If sold it will be in pieces. Plus, any acquirer will need to renegotiate the x86 cross license with AMD.

nobody will buy Intel-even its foundry. It needs to fix what bad leadership broke first to have any chance of being sold.
