Disgraceful. While they are telling a lot of people that they don't have a job anymore, the only update that we get from these mo--ns is that they have found more mo--ns that will lead nonsensical initiatives for the next couple of years, all of which will fail, leading to more layoffs. All that while they get their golden parachutes. Shareholders should go against this company.
@ay "Detailed update" implies exact dates, department dependency, numbers, and clear methodology. A leader who can't communicate effectively is not a leader. They are leveraging vagueness against us with the implication of continued layoffs down the road in 2025 instead of ripping the bandaid off with clarity. It's not hard to speak to employees directly and strip away platitudes, shifty corpo question dodging, and general clown behavior. Expect more from them the same they do with us.

@a6 I'll rewrite it for him: "Hello everyone, I know you're all worried about layoffs, but I had AI generate this generic wordspeak to let you know I have a couple of close friends who wanted in on the grift to make a few million as this company goes under. I've hired them with made up job titles and huge salaries so they, like me, can collect huge amounts of money while not actually doing anything. Trust me, it's for the best. You can believe it's from me because my picture is at the top of the email. Now get back to work until my AI assistant lets you know you've been eliminated."

Will be interesting to see if he can implement positive change or will he get devoured by toxic Intel culture like so many before him (Keller, etc)
LBT's internal announcement is so tone deaf. Entire company panicking about layoffs and he breaks his awkward silence to say "I'm hiring new expensive leaders! Delight our customers delight delight delight!!" Someone get this boy a thesaurus.
