Management used to mean something here - leaders knew you, understood your role, and genuinely cared. Now, it’s just a rotating cast of executives playing corporate chess with our jobs. They talk about transformation and innovation, but on the ground, it feels like confusion, duplication, and ever-shifting priorities. Changing one executive won’t change anything.

Post learnvest, the culture at NM has seriously gone to the dogs! There was some hope that TG would bring it back!
This constant reactive org shuffling is truly bizarre, NM's brand was all about being a beacon of stability, this is a bad look
It’s not the tech or engineering! It’s the product and business decisions
maybe this place wouldn't need saving if you people came up with solutions instead of whining
What would it cost to bring Zore back to save this place?
Last month JS was made chairman of the Kohls board of directors instead of merely sitting on the board. It pays $200K for going to 4 or 5 board meetings a year, not bad work if you can get it (his pocket change). Kohl’s has been tanking with him on the board including going through 3 CEO’s in 1.5 years, not a stellar record. He was also CEO of Russell when it was owned by NM and the mother ship had to pay a $750 million bailout in 2008 due to a large unhedged Lehman investment that became worthless. Not the most impressive record!!
NM lost its way back in 2009. It’s unlikely they will ever recover. For the record JES also destroyed Kohls. It’s amazing he can sleep at night after destroying thousands of lives and families.
Don't worry mate! Next re-org will be the one that fixes everything.
