Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Train train train your replacement gently down the stream..

It all starts innocently enough. After having reduced teams to the bone, someone from another country is brought in to help out the struggling team. So on top of having higher workload, you also need to train people who has never used the systems or processes and have a completely different skillset.. but they eventually be your replacement. All of this, while then doing silent layoffs while advertising competitions and posters on 'INTEGRITY' , exactly what decision makers lack...ironic much!

Trying to train the new people feels like a waste. The most basic questions asked every 5 minutes, repeatedly. The same mistakes and errors we saw with the TCS team. Missing vital things while resolving work with homes, and causing way too many contacts and taking way too long on said calls. Work items closed without being properly addressed, so they repeat causing again, more contacts. It’s a mess. Good luck to those who will still be here past June. I’ll be gone then.

Yeah … please keep coming here to complain about what you have complete control over - aka leaving a toxic company and finding a new job.

But by all means, keep hanging in there as I’m sure things will eventually get better!

Hello to all, please don't let trolls waste your time here and let you lose focus. Responding to trolls waste every ones time and could be from the company that laid you off, just trying to mess this site up....

As a favor, I’m going to predict your future six months of employment at Nielsen, if they keep you around that long.

Nielsen will continue to give you a sh*t schedule.
Nielsen will continue to strip away your bennies.
Nielsen will continue to get you to train your replacements.
Nielsen will continue to strategize your exit.
Nielsen will continue to lie to you.
Nielsen will continue to tell you about company culture in town halls.

YOU will continue to show up and not accept the truth, and take all of the lickings Nielsen deals out to you.

YOU will continue to come here to complain about it.

You’re welcome.

Hearing the hard truths about what you’re here complaining about is not being on a high horse, it’s simply fact.

Once you accept that you are your own worst enemy with the current situation you're in, only then will you get a grip and move on from that trailer park employer called Nielsen.

Stop the boo-hooing and start the process of finding something better. Complaining here about them doing XYZ every day to you fixes nothing. Pretty sad to see grown adults claiming victim status all the time.

@cb @cb you’re here. You’re part of the trailer park and the circus I guess huh?? or one of those sick people who likes to kick people when they’re down and feel superior? Or you’re that sick person who likes to stand by and watch a car crash and see people suffering and then make fun of them? So greener pastures include hanging around here slumming it all for curiosities sake, or entertainment? Sounds like you might be a little bit bitter because you’re no longer a part of it…..

@cb @cb are you here because you got a grip, or do you just like feeling superior and putting other people down? Sounds like you’re on a high horse. We’re all here commenting and reading for a reason. Saying it’s all in our own control…Nobody’s made us do anything or making us feel anything …that is all nonsense. When you are repeatedly lied to it su-ks. When your entire schedule and job are changed without even asking you if it’s OK and you’re given a new schedule never agreed to after working for the company for how many years … that just su-ks! And working on Saturdays just su-ks! And who really wants to work on Saturdays? Come on it just su-ks. But, you’ve got a grip so I guess that’s not you. Somebody doesn’t have to make me feel pain …it just feels painful to be lied to and undervalued and replaced. Maybe you like how it feels to be lied to because you’ve got a grip? Or wait are you a robot? Be a human being. Being a human being doesn’t mean that you’re not a hard worker, willing to do your part and take responsibility. Will all obviously go and get other jobs just like you I take it. People can complain all they want. We’re in the United States. That’s one of the freedoms. I think Nielsen wants U.S. employees to quit. It’ll cost them less in the long run. I say stay, and be happy that you have each days pay. Make each day easier for you. Everyone who is at Nielsen who loses their job will find another one, better or worse. There will be another job. Let them pay you to find it. Complain all you want, if somebody doesn’t wanna read it they can turn the page. Funny thing is those people who have moved on with good strong grips, and high horses are still hanging around here reading and commenting and complaining…about people complaining!!!! Sounds like they need to get a better grip!!

Those who got a grip left long ago to greener pastures. Those needing to still get a grip hang on to their measly jobs and get mistreated by Nielsen on a daily basis while coming here to whine about it and get affirmation for their bad decision making by others who make equally bad decisions.

It’s like a trailer park person crying to others in the trailer park about not being able to escape the trailer park. All supporting each others bad decision making, while those on the outside who have escaped “are the problem” to them.

Keep enjoying life in the trailer park called Nielsen and Gracenote.

While A1’s point is valid, it’s a bit stark. All of what is happening is a slap in the face to those who stayed with Nielsen trying to see the vision. We come and complain here because every single tool we use is monitored by Nielsen. Get a grip, and stop being rude

Yeah, because whining about the state of affairs at Nielsen here on these forums for the last 18 months has solved what? Oh, that’s right. Nothing.

Not my monkeys. Not my circus. Time to move on and accept Nielsen doesn’t contribute anything positive to your life anymore.
