What is the Fab team doing? Nothing improves. Delay, delay, delay, and the yield is not what was expected after so much urgency. You guys just can’t deliver, can you?
Maybe if Intel Fab was built somewhere in Taipei, we might already be in HVM mode for 1nm by now??

Horrible fab engineers who have no idea what they’re doing and spend all day at home moving their mouse around every 5 min to make themselves green on Teams
Only real design issue I see is a small failure to design something that can run at double the rated voltage on a recycled and renamed decade old process so it can keep up with AMD desktops on a 2 generation newer process
@an Nvidia has 85.2% market share in AI accelerators while AMD has 14.3%. Intel has 0.5%. All these products are manufactured at TSMC factories. But nobody buys Intel products. And you know why? Simply because Intel products are absolute cr-p.
Intel’s US are run so inefficiently. So very inefficiently.
@as intel trying to make CPUs not sh-t on the street
Intel fabs should be constructed in India. Then, there would be competition for TSMC.
We are embarrassing. We can’t make sh!t in our factories, how the he-l are supposed to be a foundry to other customers.
We goto TSMC with our tails tucked in. “Can you make this for us?”
@a4, you are probably working Fabs or TD and got ruled by @OP's post. Just think about what has happened in the last couple of years. Lunar lake is an excellent design appreciated by all OEMs and industry. It is not produced on Intel process because the product groups couldn't depend on Intel 3. Till today Intel 3 is not healthy.
Intel is not producing enough Lunar lakes because we are constrained by TSMC's shared capacity. If Intel Fabs could support Lunar lake, then Intel could have produced and sold many more Lunar lake
Fast forward to Panther Lake - it started as a product to be manufactured at Intel. But midway, it was changed to be produced at TSMC.
Can you see how Fabs have failed Intel repeatedly?
Yes, we really su-k. I suggest selling off the stock
What’s to deliver? Our product designs su-k. The fab can’t magically make your products not bad at what they do. Garbage in, garbage out.
It’s not about turning Intel around any longer. Hasn’t been for some time. It’s about slicing and dicing - chopping it up to sell piece by piece
