Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Where the he-l are the managers?

Good people quitting left and right and they don't say squat. My supervisor is basically missing in action. HR sends stupid emails about "culture" while the ship sinks. Does anybody even care if this place will still be standing a few years from now or has everybody already given up?

@jq Sorry to say, but I saw the real "vision" when Nielsen gutted what was Arbitron. Watching the s..t show for many years since, did my best, and GCC'd in the end. Nothing new. Bottom line pay the bankers, sc--w the client data and employees.

Unfortunately, they seem to be firing the people that were holding out hope for the future. I left a great career to move to Nielsen because I saw the vision 10 years ago. My role is now being eliminated, alongside 20+ year Nielsen veterans who also saw the vision. Over my time at Nielsen, I’ve personally helped them with tons of projects, worked way beyond my pay, made a real impact, and am getting rewarded by being spot on by a greedy corporation.

There are two types of employees: Those who have been Rif’d and those who will be Rif’d. Don’t love something that can’t love you back.

I don't care if you have bills to pay, a mortgage, and what not. If you are still working at Nielsen YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!

It is pretty clear what they want, have some decency and respect for yourself and move on. Otherwise, shut the fu-k up and get down to su-k some big di-k!

If managers keep putting Nielsen above people who make up Nielsen, Nielsen's employees will be the ones to put themselves first. I left few months ago and no one tried to stop me.

It doesn’t matter if you give your heart and soul and are devoted to the company. They don’t care about you. The decisions they make are based on how much money they can save by passing the work to the remaining employees. It isn’t the company I knew years ago. I’m glad I’ve left but feel terrible for the ones who remain. They were my peers, and I have respect for them and their dedication. I still want to see the company succeed, but am having major doubts based on decisions being made by upper management.

All I can say it's really tough to continue going into work and do a good job while seeing coworkers who were doing a good job being cut away in front of you almost every week. we're continously being preached upon the nielsen "Values". Values my a. s. S .

I could care less about Nielsen anymore.

They don't care about their workers, even those that worked there 20-30+ years!

I won't shed a tear when they go bankrupt!!
