Why are you surprised? Five years ago JF stated that 85% of the US+European white collar jobs should be done in low cost countries. That should of clued you into what was coming.

Ford is spending millions on new engineering center in Dearborn but it will be a ghost town in a few years. Expect to see Transmission and axle division move to Dearborn to fill empty seats.
Vast majority of office space owned by Ford land is empty now. It’s pathetic what is happening.
Much of the LCC outsourcing is to reduce lost revenue from the dam BEV programs.
