Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Think of what it can do for your next job search

Image your next interview telling your recruiter how you were stuck in a situation with bad, even toxic, business processes, and you lead everyone to leave them behind for healthy practices. What a hero you’ll be!

On the other hand imagine the interview where you sheepishly explain you knew Intel was doing things wrong and just went along

Or worse you explain what you did at Intel and your recruiter says “now you know that’s not something to be proud of….”

It all depends on your narrative and how you position what you have done around a success story. This is independent of Intel. It's all about your creative thinking and seeing the bigger picture in all you have done at Intel so far. Spend the time and give this some thought.

It’s sad but true. It wasn’t always like this. It used to be a gold star on your resume not to long ago

Biggest red flag on your resume: you worked at Intel. Will take extra work to get that interview. It is the reality.

If you were at Intel for more than 10 years, sorry for you, since it will be make it quite difficult.

Just spent the last year and finally found a job.

Lie to the recruiter that you worked at the best leading US company named Intel with a PHD degree in potato chip making at McDonald.

@a4 This is a good idea for intel employees. You can identify as a woman and say that you identified as being on maternal leave.

Talking bad about your previous employer to a recruiter is a red flag and wont get you hired. Be professional.

I’m removing Intel from my resume. Thankfully I’ve only been here 2 years so I can explain that gap by lying about being on mat leave or something (woman btw!)
