Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Do we even have a CEO?

No vision. No plan. Just silence. The smell of failure is already settling in.

Intel is in the 3rd round of cuts in 2 years. Motivation is deader than dead. There’s no need to say anything right now. No one is really paying attention.

The old guy will have poor vision. Plan to retire after making big company with more than 100K employees to a small company with less than 50K employees to declare a succeed.

So disappointed with the performance of the CEO so far He cannot even articulate his thoughts without a prompter in front of him! How is he supposed to lead and influence without articulating properly. The skill bar to become a CEO at Intel is gradually dropping. This is a terrible trend...

The whole company is set on layoffs, re-orgs, ... nothing is done for a long time. Engineers are clueless what to do, the managers are clueless too who do not even know who are in his own team.

The CEO does have one plan at least, which is to execute a mass layoff.

It will be a tough competition between the current CEO and the ex-CEO. But the current one is the undisputed champion on the silence part.
