@a8 You'll speak differently when you see your parents dead from an airstrike. I like how people are very cold when it's about others. Oh 100 people died? get over it. LOL. Is it your family? you'll start crying. Grab a brain already mate.

Anyone who supports the protestor is part of the problem. If you feel the need to protect that country, please do it from over there not here

I was there and it wasn’t as disrupting as it appeared. The people telling him to shut up was louder than Ji--d Jamal. The G/H Meeting Hall was pretty big so his stuff was pretty localized in the back

@fv he should take a dump on his desk and company issued laptop then sue Cisco!

@a4 no doubt he’s done taking a paycheck from Cisco. What would you rather have him do with integrity? They already tried raising it internally.

reality is, this fool could probably set up a gofundme after their well-publicized firing and soak up money from other "progressives" worth 10x their RSUs

if they can pull in $500k in sympathy dollars, we should all join in...

What “EXACTLY” should Chuck do? Should he lose it and protest and have even more unemployed? Serious question. He’s Cisco’s leader, not an ambassador, or Senator. But we do know when senate is session. We do know the address. Nooooobody (I hope) agrees with what’s going on there, and has been in Sudan, in Haiti, in Venezuela, in “San Diego”. I passed so many homeless and gave my food as it hurt my heart! Please use that passion in a bridled manner or it will be wasted. We hear you… but this was for almost 100k people with families who depend on them. With your success, you can help more. But to think the tech is the problem… not well thought. But I hear you… I hear you! Just play it out.. what is he to do? Do you think Meta will be there to back him? MSFT? ABC? AWS? Serious questions… I can be wrong so I’m asking… what are the implications of Chuck going off script as you did?

Build your own AI (LLM) model and stop bothering people. If you had the skills you would have built one already and have already sent it to Palestine and please leave us alone. This thing might be ok in California, but people in GA, PA, NC, WI, MI can only expect so much which they would vote what we have now.

"Subject: Letter From a Concerned Cisconian

From:
To:

To my respected colleagues,

I hope you are well. I write to you with a heavy heart today because, quite bluntly, Cisco is complicit in the genocide of Palestinians and forms the technological backbone of Israel's illegal apartheid regime.

You may have seen me at Cisco Live demanding that Chuck and Cisco leadership end our company's complicity in genocide. This was not spontaneous. We initiated concerns through all appropriate internal channels, meetings with executive leadership, CR cases, and an Open Letter signed by 1770 Concerned Cisconians detailing Cisco's complicity and violations of its own policies and international law. Cisco ignored us in favor of profit and at the cost of Palestinian lives.

We are witnessing a livestreamed genocide powered by Cisco technology and our labor. Scholars of genocide across the world, Amnesty International and countless international organizations back the International Court of Justice's three legally binding orders relating to Israel's plausible genocide in Gaza, as well as its July 18, 2004 Advisory Opinion affirming Israel's illegal occupation and apartheid system.

Cisco knowingly and persistently fails to meet its obligations under international law to prevent genocide and end corporate complicity in the crime of apartheid. Nonetheless, Cisco is currently customizing security equipment being used for genocide, supplying Webex as Israel's 21st century war room, and providing the technological infrastructure to sustain apartheid in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Cisco is exploiting our labor to profit from Israel's ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians.

Cisconians of conscience demand Cisco immediately:

End all partnerships and business with Israel until Israel ends its genocide, dismantles its apartheid and military occupation, and respects the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their lands as stipulated in UN resolution 194.
Launch an impartial, third-party human rights impact assessment of Cisco's operations in Palestine and Israel, using the framework of the UNGP, with the results of the investigation to be made public.
End Cisco's discriminatory and repressive policies that silence workers who voice alarm bells about our tech being used for atrocity crimes. Engage a SWANA-focused consultancy to review Cisco's discriminatory practices against Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim employees and their allies, e.g., the targeted ban on discussing "the conflict in the Middle East" in company-wide meetings.
At Cisco Live I exposed Cisco's direct role in genocide to invite you to join us as people of conscience to take a stand. There is no neutrality during genocide - we are either acting to stop the genocide or we are complicit in the genocide. We have a shared responsibility to act and demand that Cisco end its complicity in Israel's genocide and legal apartheid.

Kind regards and Free Palestine."

so if you know, and you still show up for work, you can't protest because you are part of it too

Great, I do support it. This country gave me a leg up to become better and there is no way that would happen where I am from. If you want a Cisco to support other causes, then create something in your country, but you can't so at least try it in the US. Build AI or whatever tech you want to support the opposition of Israel.

I think it’s pretty funny. Honestly people can say or do what they want I don’t care. But CSCO was all about the talking about politics previously but now they are in the UAE to drum up business.

Okay, so now everyone knows Cisco "supports" Israel

so if you know, and you still show up for work, you can't protest because you are part of it too

really wish someone from ELT would just send a company-wide email telling people if they don't like it they can GTFO

I wish they were actually fired, but if they do that they won't back fill the job. So people in the unemployment line won't get a chance to interview.

The protest is about Cisco contributing to genocide by developing technology for Israel.
