Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Does Anyone Really Believe That

Diversity is our strength?

No one is playing that game any more.

It's over.

If they're fired, they can always find the next H1-b sponsor, in one of the ICC (Indian consulting company).

Fidelity Talent Source (FTS) should answer the question: why all their pipeline is one identity? Too lazy to develop relationships with non-ICC sources?

Indians are extremely racist against others. If you can believe it, they believe themselves to be the superior race.

I used to believe Abby and higher ups are blindsided by the H1-B scammers. Now based on previous rant below, there maybe a deliberate replacement policy of sort in place.

The only way to find out is an Ames lawsuit to get the facts out during court discovery.

"The fundamental flaw of the H-1B program is that it permits U.S. employers to legally underpay H-1B workers relative to similar U.S. Workers" Source: epi.org

Takeaway: Quit ragging on your coworkers from India that are looking for a better life and look at the filthy greedy "Officers" of the firm starting with the CEO di-k slinger wannabe Abby Johnson. A successful women, thanks to her father, that is as greedy and heartless as your POTUS. IMO

DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY YET ABBY?

Whenever there’s a job I’m interested in, I look at the department on Fid Central. If I see all white women on the team, I know I’m sc--wed and won’t stand a chance.

Not sure about diversity is strength or not, but, the lack of diversity is definitely our weakness. Go to any cafeteria or walk around the halls of tech teams, you know what I mean:

  • It's a deterrence to out future talent pipeline. Talented young blood avoid H1-b shop.
  • It's the cause of our deteriorating culture. Rat racing, PPT marketing, boot-licking...
  • It's a risk to business continuity in the next three years. Should the administration crack down on H1-b we could lose 70% of the tech workforce overnight.

Browsing the who's who and seeing teams after teams and org after orgs of one identity, as other commenter lamented: how did we allow it to happen?

Folks need to be held accountable:

  • If you're a leader and certain percentage of your org is one identify, you're at fault. Start from 100%. Leaders of those teams with a single identity should immediately let go. Then 90% teams, which be ordered to diversity. then 80% teams...
