Back when- Phillips management was hoarding cash- along came Pickens and a few more- tried to take over the company and get all that cash, then sell us off as needed- Phillips had to go to its employees to back them up and stop Pickens- as a result the management had to start sharing the wealth of the company with its employees- worked out well for us!!!

@bk yeah the OP is highly delusional. PSX leadership does nothing more than what is required to retain folks. That’s it. While richly rewarding SG 20 and above.
Attempting to create some analogy to old school Phillips Petroleum Co vs TBP to modern day Elliott vs Phillips 66 (which still has chapters to come) is beyond laughable. Present day Phillips 66 is a serial underperformer vs peers (which is why they constantly attempt to change the peer group they are measured against, and how they ended up in this mess with Elliott in the first place).
Gogo made us poor.
That is why PPCO started keeping greater then 50% of stock
That was small town legacy PPCO. Now its new age Houston P66, different blood, different attitude.
