Nothing surprises me anymore.
Unrelated to this case:
A few years ago, several of us witnessed a clear case of racism by a Karen in Massachusetts who went into a meltdown. A few strategic promotions and raises for the witnesses and I heard the target was laid off as the bad guy. Karen walked free and ended up with a promotion.
