Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Thrive layoffs?

I spoke with my manager offline and he told me that there will be a lay off after thrive has ended. He said performance would be the deciding factor. Has anyone else heard the same?

Who honestly gives a sh-t. All signs point to do the least amount possible so then when laid off, at least you weren't actually working much. They've made it clear your performance means nothing.

What does the timeline look like? Will devs be part of the layoffs too?

Who do you think will be impacted this time? Sales reps?

With few specifics and very generic sounding verbiage, we can just shrug and say "sure, that makes sense."

Yes, I’ve heard similar things. It seems that once someone is placed on a PIP, it’s often seen as a step toward exit, regardless of whether all tasks are completed. Unfortunately, the reasons given can sometimes feel arbitrary.
