With all the chaos that's been happening lately and rumors of RTO, I'm thinking it may be time to end my career and stay home with my kids. Has anyone had any luck in getting voluntary layoffs?

Unless you are part of the Return to Office movement for those who were fully remote the answer is usually no. Were you eligible for the VERP last year? I think they got a bigger take of it than they thought so probably they are not going to do another but you never know. Better to just look for another job.
