Supposedly was discussed at OCM level last week. Will "be monitored by HR." One missed swipe gets a scolding, two missed "could lead to dismissal." Were told not to cascade his info yet.
Any way to confirm this rumor?

When RTO discussions arise theres always a thought in the back of my mind ... that someday the company may say "the only staff we need are full time workers whose jobs cannot be done remotely." All remaining remote jobs being done can be eliminated. Then simply cut those remote jobs, transfer the work to outside agencies (where agency workers will do those former "remote tasks" at those agencies' offices). Thus, the company has a staff of full time workers and successfully saved money by eliminating large salaries / associated benefits, the need for office space / heat / electricity (since no ones using the offices), even wear n tear on parking lots is reduced. I wonder if the company could survive with just a skeleton crew of full timers and no remote workers?
No biggie, I'm already coming in 4 days. What happened to counting actual work productivity? Answering late emails from Australia at home after already 9-10 hours in the office, early emails from EU prior to going in the office. Maybe it's time to set better work boundaries and only do work while in the actual building.
We can't design & launch high quality vehicles. Can't hire or promote intelligent and talented leaders. However counting badge swipes as they force people to go into offices to sit on MS Teams meetings and wear noise canceling headphones all day ... THAT our id--tic leaders can do. If they think THIS is what makes a cutting edge company. Nope. Just makes a zombie farm of people watching the clock until they can pack up and go home.
3x a week minimum is the new normal. HR is working with each team to explain those badging in less than three days.
Amazing the things this company chooses to focus on. Imagine if the same energy were put into quality.
Our group has been going to the office Tue-Wed-Thur, vehicle or lab testing may alter that as needed.
I pay no attention at all to the number of badge swipes, etc.
I will ignore any mandate and as a senior employee Ford can sever me anytime they wish.
Get your lazy butts back in the office! Fix the quality issues instead of remodeling your kitchen on company time!
Nope. 2x/wk. Maybe EOY will go to 3x/wk
Yup four days is coming, heard it from ll4. Just not sure when
You people need to get a grip and stop listening to people who haven't got a clue. And who quite possibly don't even have jobs, let alone work for Ford.
Yes, I can confirm.
